[she claps her hands together and looks resolved] Then I'll come to you. The park isn't good for being a park, but maybe it can be good for training grounds?

[Katherine can't help but smile a little.] Thank you, that's very sweet.

Yes, the park should work. I-- do you have pants? If you do, you should wear those, but if not I can let you borrow my other pair. I don't have another sword for you to use, but I'll try to come up with something.

[she smiles warmly in return] If you want, I can talk to my boyfriend? He's a dominant and he might be willing to help?

[and she blushes faintly] I do. Somewhere. It might take a while to dig them up, I only used them to sleep in when it was cold earlier in the year.

[Aaaah. Katherine very visibly is not sure about that proposal, and she gnaws her at her lower lip.]

I... no, thank you. Maybe I'll ask you about it later, but I don't want to pair up with anyone I don't know. I'm sure if you like him, he's wonderful, but... honestly, this is probably the hardest part for me. But I'm sure I'll be fine.

[She nods.] Alright. Whenever you think you'll be ready, we can meet up. [She won't be able to find proper practice swords, but, well. She'll improvise.]

[Tinya looks understanding and smiles reassuringly]

I'm sure you will be, too. And I understand about not wanting to jump into things with someone you don't know. I...kind of did with my first contract, but I got lucky. Anya was wonderful and I loved her like a sister.

It probably won't take me too long? I'm pretty sure I know where the pants have been buried.

I'm glad you were lucky, and have had good people to pair with. I hope I don't have to rely on luck.

I found my pants! [she holds up a pair of capri-length black leggings and a matching racerback tank top] And something else to go with it!

Thank you! I do most of my stretching and reaching and flexibility exercises with my ballet, so this will be an interesting change!

[Katherine will give her the time to meet and will be there waiting for her when she arrives. The 'sticks' are wooden dowels, which she's not pleased with but will have to do. Maybe when she has money...

She smiles when sees Tinya arrive, in her jeans and a flowing shirt.] Hello! Are you ready?

[wooden dowels are probably the closest substitute at hand, unless she asked Jo to make practice swords. but he's been so busy.

she's in her tight leggings and racerback tank, completely heedless of whomever else might be staring. in fact, she's almost...translucent? until she reaches Katherine] Absolutely! Don't hold back on me just because we're friends, okay?

[Katherine grins, and will start going over the basics with her- how to hold it, mostly, and how to keep that hold when her 'blade' is being struck by another. It is much harder than it sounds, and they can probably drill on just that for quite a while.]

[she hates it when people treat her like a porcelain princess, she's young, she's smart, she's cunning, she can do whatever it takes should she need to.

and it seems as though she very much needs to. this is taking far more effort than she expected, but she's doing her best to keep up]

[Katherine will push her, make her keep going for a while, but not so much that she'll be unable to move the next day. Definitely sore, though, by the time she decides to back off.]

You did a good job! You probably should take a nice bath tonight, though, for your muscles.

[Tinya wouldn't have it any other way. when she wants to learn something, she applies herself completely and between ballet and super-heroing, she's tougher than she looks. and she doesn't stop grinning.

she can't curtsy, so instead she sweeps a bow] Thank you! And you're right, I'll have to. I haven't had such a work-out since practice before my first ballet exhibition. When can we do this again?

[Maybe not tomorrow, but... Katherine won't rule it out if Tinya wants to. She didn't get much of a break when she was first learning.]

I'm tempted to ask for tomorrow, but I don't think I can fit this and ballet into the day.

[and she has to practice since she'd like to do a solo performance next month]

But this is great and I definitely want more lessons. So, the day after tomorrow?

[Katherine nods.] Of course! Just let me know. I can keep these in my room, or you can keep one if you'd like?

Hmm. I'll take one. I might have the energy to go over forms later in the day. [she blushes faintly] I don't...really like to be idle.

[Katherine grins, a touch wicked.] I understand the feeling.

[that wicked grin makes Tinya really want to kiss her, but she manages to restrain herself for now] Yeah, it's...frustrating when I don't have things to do.

[For now.]

I completely understand. [Which is part why she's so eager to find things to do here... She'll hand over the dowel to Tinya for now, though.] See you in a few days?
